RON GLADISH
“Stag’s Hollow”
Ron is a dedicated outdoorsman who takes his inspiration from the drama revealing itself through color, shapes, light and shadows in nature. Ron rekindled his passion for artistic expression at weekly painting and drawing sessions in Abu Dhabi. He has participated in workshops with David Langevin, Mike Svob and Dominik Modlinski and is currently the President of the local chapter of the FCA-SOS. Born in Princeton but moved to Alberta at an early age and moved back to make a home in the Okanagan in 1992. While landscapes have been his subject of choice, Ron has recently taken to painting on upcycled metal he finds while on hiking in the Okanagan. Rustic frames are hand crafted from fence boards, picking ladders and barn siding to give an authentic enhancement of his paintings of old vehicles and local bird life. Visit his website here.
SHARON SNOW
“Stag’s Hollow”
Sharon has called the Okanagan home since 1970 and continues to draw inspiration from the valley’s breathtaking beauty. The region's lakes, cliffs, vineyards, and orchards have provided her with endless material to paint. Working primarily with oils, she also explores acrylics, mixed media, and graphite. Sharon’s art has been featured in both juried and non-juried exhibitions across the Okanagan, with many pieces now part of private collections. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and The Brushstrokes Art Group. Her work is currently showcased at The Aurora Matheson Gallery in downtown Penticton. Learn more here.
STEPHANIE PERRY
“Sun Setting on Stag’s Hollow”
Born in 1978, Stephanie grew up on the northern most part of Vancouver Island in a small fishing village and was heavily influenced by the natural landscape in the wild areas that were her playground. Her art mostly consists of landscapes and ecological subject matter like plants and animals, most of which she viewed and interacted with on the island or throughout her Canadian adventures. She has dabbled in a variety of media such as oils, textiles, watercolor and sculpture, but her recent work within the last decade has been primarily acrylic and oil on canvas or panel. Stephanie first studied Art in Victoria at Camosun College and then finished her degree in Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal in 2003. Being a stay at home mother brought her back to her devotion to painting and creative expression and the natural landscape of the Canadian Rockies were a great inspiration for renewing her interest. In recent years she made the move from Penticton BC to Sylvan Lake Alberta, where she is currently working and finding renewed inspiration in her changing landscape. Visit her website here.
